Harvestシリーズより、PISTACHIO。
ピスタチオの殻をそのまま型取りし、
SILVERでかたちにしました。
わずかに開いた殻の隙間から覗くのは、
実に見立てたペリドットのグリーン。
正面からは静かなフォルムですが、
角度を変えることで、はじめて“中身”が現れます。
殻だけを残し、
内側を別の素材で置き換えることで、
本来そこにあるはずの存在を想像させる構造に。
見るたびに印象が変わる、
小さな違和感を含んだピアスです。
PISTACHIO Earrings
We cast the shell of a pistachio as-is
and shaped it in SILVER.
Peeking through the slightly open gap in the shell
is the green of peridot, representing the nut inside.
From the front, the form appears serene,
but only when you change your angle does the “inside” reveal itself.
By leaving only the shell
and replacing the interior with a different material,
the design invites you to imagine what should naturally be there.
These earrings, which offer a different impression every time you look at them,
carry a subtle sense of dissonance.
